CITY ANNOUNCES ACTIVATION OF COOLING CENTERS AT SIMI VALLEY SENIOR CENTER & LIBRARY 8/31 - 9/6 
In anticipation of temperatures reaching 100 degrees and higher this week, the City of Simi Valley will activate the Simi Valley Senior Center and Simi Valley Public Library as Cooling Centers beginning on Wednesday, August 31 through Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
The Senior Center will be available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Labor Day, Monday September 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Library will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout this period except will be closed on Labor
Day.
The City encourages senior citizens and any others who may be at risk due to the extreme heat or temporary loss of electricity, to consider the Cooling Center when seeking refuge from the extreme heat.
Dial-A-Ride transportation to and from the Cooling Center is available to Cooling Center participants by calling Simi Valley Transit at (805) 583-6464.
The Simi Valley Senior Center is located at 3900 Avenida Simi and the Simi Valley Public Library is located at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road. For further information, please call (805) 583-6363.

En previsión de temperaturas que alcancen los 100 grados o más esta semana, la ciudad de Simi Valley activará el Centro de Ancianos de Simi Valley y la Biblioteca pública de Simi Valley como centros de enfriamiento a partir del miércoles 31 de agosto hasta el martes 6 de septiembre de 2022.
El Centro de Ancianos estará disponible de lunes a viernes de 8:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m. y Día laboral, lunes 5 de septiembre, de 9:00 a.m. a 7:00 p.m. La Biblioteca será disponible de 9:00 am a 7:00 pm durante todo este período excepto estará cerrado el Día laboral.
