LOCATION: 6500 Block of Butterfield Ranch Road, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Alphonso Gregory Ortiz, 40-year-old resident of Montclair
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at appoximately 1:16 AM, deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station conducted a vehicle check near the 6500 block of Butterfield Ranch Road in Chino Hills. During the contact, Alphonso Gregory Ortiz, a 40-year-old resident of Montclair, was found in possession of controlled substances.
During a vehicle search, a firearm without a serial number was located. Ortiz was arrested and transported to West Valley Detention Center. Ortiz was booked for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without identificatoin mark, and possession of controlled substances while armed.
