Arrests Made in Connection to Attempted Catalytic Converter Theft

LOCATION: Bird Farm Road/Yorba Avenue, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Aaron Anolin, 22-year-old resident of Ontario
Edward Lopez, 25-year-old resident of Chino Hills
Charmaine Yamas, 33-year-old resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at approximately 11:07 p.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved in an attempt catalytic converter theft.
The vehicle was occupied by three individuals. The driver, identified as Aaron Anolin, was found in possession of an illegal firearm. The female passenger, Charmaine Yamas, was identified as the driver in the attempted catalytic converter theft and was found in possession of controlled substances. The male passenger, Edward Lopez, was found to have an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. All three subjects were arrested and transported to West Valley Detention Center for booking.
