The City of Santa Ana is opening cooling centers through September 5 during the forecast heat wave.
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning that will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Monday (Labor Day) for Orange County inland areas, including Santa Ana. Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures 97 to 104 degrees are forecast.
Senior centers, libraries and community centers will be open during their regular hours on Thursday and Friday.
Libraries are open with extended hours on Saturday and senior centers will be open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

La Ciudad de Santa Ana está abriendo centros para refrescarse hasta el 5 de septiembre durante la ola de calor que está pronosticada.
El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional ha emitido una advertencia de calor excesivo que permanecerá vigente hasta las 8 p.m. el lunes (Día de Trabajo) para las áreas del interior del Condado de Orange, incluida Santa Ana.
