*2ND UPD*Mandatory Evacuations for the #RouteFire in the Santa Clarita Valley
RouteFire reported in Castaic at the 5 FWY, north of Lake Hughes Road.
2ND UPDATE 11:40 PM:
RouteFire still burning at 4,625 acres, 0% containment.
Evacuations lifted SOUTH of Northlake Hills Elementary School
(Includes Northlake, Stone Gate, and communities along Castaic Rd.)
EVACUATIONS STILL IN PLACE:
OLD RIDGE ROUTE ROAD FROM TEMPLIN HIGHWAY TO NORTHLAKE HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Includes Paradise Ranch Mobile Estates).
5 FWY remains closed in both directions (NB at Parker Road, SB at Vista Del Lago).
Deputy personnel are working closely with Los Angeles County Fire Department and CHP - Newhall to assist with looter suppression and fire watch.

Route Fire now at 600 acres with mandatory evacuations and road closures in still in place for Paradise Mobile Estates and structures south of Templin Highway along Upper Ridge Route Road. Evacuations now in place for all structures north of Lake Hughes Road, east of the 5 FWY.
