The City of Janesville Police and Fire Departments are partnering with the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (HSSW) on an exciting fundraising project. In 2022, the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin agreed to reduce the cost of its services to the City of Janesville by $35,000. In exchange, the City of Janesville agreed to partner with the HSSW on a fundraising venture to make up for the budget shortfall.
The Rescuers for Rescues fundraising project offers community members the opportunity to vote for their favorite photos of Janesville Police and Fire Department personnel posing with animals from the HSSW. The top 12 photos will be included in the calendar, which will be available for purchase later this year.
Voting will be open from Thursday, September 1st through Friday, September 30th. Each vote is $1 and unlimited in amount. Visit https://www.gogophotocontest.com/rescuersforrescues to vote and support the animals within our community. Special thanks to Rural Vibe Photography.
