Full Notification

Today the Simi Valley Police Department was notified that several Ventura County residents and one Texas resident received a scam telephone call from a subject claiming to be a detective with the Simi Valley Police Department. This scammer advised victims that they failed to appear in court and as a result, a warrant had been issued for their arrest. The caller went on to say that, the warrant would be removed if they paid a sum of money or Bitcoin. Please know this is a fraudulent call not involving any Simi Valley Police Officers. The Simi Valley Police Department does not make this type of contact.
