Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety would like to inform residents of the following.  The End of Summer Bash Fireworks Display will begin at 9:00 p.m. between Pier Park and the GP Yacht Club. The vehicle entrance to Pier Park will close at 8:30 p.m. to enhance pedestrian safety. Expect heavy traffic in the area before, during, and after the fireworks show. Please seek alternative routes if traveling through the area.

Safety is always our top priority. To make sure everyone can enjoy the fireworks safely, please be aware of these precautions that will be in place:

  • The fireworks barge will be positioned north of Pier Park. Park goers will have the best view of the display from the north sea wall. Spectators must stay out of the fenced area and off the asphalt pathway.

  • Boaters must stay out of the exclusionary zone beginning at 7:00 p.m. The waters around the fireworks barge will be patrolled by the U.S. Coast Guard and Wayne County Sherriff Department.
