A slow moving frontal system will remain over the area today before shifting south on Tuesday.
Widespread showers with possible thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through Tuesday. The rain showers could be heavy at times and could slowly move over the same areas, resulting in flash flooding. The NWS Weather Prediction Center has placed the entire region in a slight risk for excessive rainfall both today and Tuesday.
