Flood Advisory until 06:00PM

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by heavy rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, Buncombe, McDowell and Rutherford.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 256 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding of roads in the advisory area due to between 2 and 3 inches of rain that have fallen across the area since this morning. Although heavy rainfall has tapered off, some minor road flooding is expected to linger through the afternoon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marion, Lake Lure, Old Fort, Chimney Rock Village, Chimney Rock State Park, Bat Cave, Sugar Hill, Shingle Hollow, Pleasant Gardens, Fero, Glenwood, Green Hill and Nebo. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed.
