Construction on Valley Rd is scheduled to begin. Valley Rd will be closed for approx. 3 weeks, for emergency infrastructure repairs. 
River Edge PD advises you to AVOID Valley Rd due to a current traffic issue. Infrastructure repairs will close Valley Rd between Mohawk Dr. and Oak Ave. and will require a detour of traffic for the next 3 weeks (Sept. 27).. Suggested alternate routes, Howland Ave or Rt 4. The length of the closure, as well as the start, will depend on weather. Once construction begins, the road will be closed 24/7.
