Stabbing Investigation Release

Subject: Stabbing Investigation
On Monday, September 6th, at approximately 2:54am, Sun Prairie Police were notified of a 911 call with sounds of someone in distress on the phone. Officers responded to an address on Jones St. and discovered two victims that had sustained stab wounds. It was quickly determined that the suspect was no longer on scene, and officers began setting up a perimeter in search of the suspect.
Officers along with Sun Prairie EMS provided treatment to the victims who ultimately were transported to a hospital. One of the victims is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries. One of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition at the hospital.
This is not believed to be a random attack, and at this point we do not have any information that presents a danger to the community.
This is an active investigation. Police presence will remain on scene while processing evidence
