City of Alameda Public Safety Message - Heat Advisory
A Heat Advisory is in place until 8pm Thursday, September 8. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed and connected. Call 911 if you experience a heat-related illness. To take a break from the heat, Alameda’s three libraries also serve as cooling centers: www.alamedafree.org. All Alameda County Cooling Centers
A Statewide Flex Alert has been issued for 4-9pm tonight when demand for energy will be very close to the grid’s capacity. If California’s grid operator calls for outages to reduce the pressure on the grid, rolling outages in Alameda will last for one hour and will impact one section of the City at a time.
