Due to the heat advisory continuing this week, the City of Simi Valley will continue to activate the Simi Valley Senior Center and Simi Valley Public Library as Cooling Centers through Friday, September 9, 2022.
 
The Senior Center will be available Tuesday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m, to 5:00 p.m. The Library will also be available from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout this period.

The City encourages senior citizens and any others who may be at risk due to the extreme heat or temporary loss of electricity, to consider the Cooling Center when seeking refuge from the extreme heat.

Dial-A-Ride transportation to and from the Cooling Center is available to Cooling Center participants by calling Simi Valley Transit at (805) 583-6464.

The Simi Valley Senior Center is located at 3900 Avenida Simi and the Simi Valley Public Library is located at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road. For further information, please call (805) 583-6363.

Debido a que al aviso de calor que continúa esta semana, la ciudad de Simi Valley continuar activando el Centro de Ancianos de Simi Valley y la Biblioteca Pública de Simi Valley como Centros de Enfriamiento hasta el viernes 9 de septiembre 2022.
 
El Centro de Ancianos estará disponible de martes a viernes de 8:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m.  La biblioteca también estará disponible de 9:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m. a lo largo de este período. 

La Ciudad alienta a las personas mayores y cualquier otra persona que pueda estar en riesgo debido al calor extremo o la pérdida temporal de electricidad, a considerar el Centro de Enfriamiento cuando busque refugio del calor extremo.
 
El transporte de Dial-A-Ride hacia y desde el Centro de Enfriamiento está disponible para los participantes del Centro de Enfriamiento,  llamando a Simi Valley Transit al (805) 583-6464.
