Advisory

State energy grid operator is forecasting an energy shortfall, conservation is needed TODAY from 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

This is an important message for the City of Healdsburg.  Due to record high temperatures, California’s electric grid operator is forecasting a shortage in electric generation and needs energy conservation between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. today.  Reducing energy usage will help avoid rotating power outages later today.  To conserve energy set your thermostat at 78 or higher; heath permitting, and avoid the use of large appliances, turn off unnecessary lights, and do not charge electric vehicles until after 9 p.m.  We all need to do our part to avoid power outages this week.

Without conservation, the city may be asked to begin rotating power outages this evening. Please review the attached map for areas, which may be, affected by rotating outages today and tomorrow evening. If required, rotating outages will start with block 1 and cycle through each block until the energy shortage is over. Please conserve energy to lessen the risk of power outages. To report a power outage or other issue with water or wastewater service please call the City’s utility hotline at (707) 431-7000.
