Homicide Detectives Arrest a Suspect for his Alleged Involvement in a Recent Homicide

INCIDENT LOCATION: 4281 N. High School Rd.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide Detectives arrest a suspect for his alleged involvement in the recent homicide of 19-year-old Da Kylen Treyon Malix White.

On Sunday, September 4, 2022, just before 6:00 p.m., IMPD Northwest District officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of N. High School Rd., on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located what appeared to be an adult male, inside a vehicle, who sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Pike Fire Department arrived and unfortunately pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
 
IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to identify and collect potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner's Office assisted and determined the exact cause and manner of death. 
  
IMPD homicide detectives continued their investigation and identified the alleged suspect. On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, IMPD homicide detectives announced the arrest of 19-year-old Julius Beverly for his alleged involvement in the death of Da Kylen Treyon Malix White. Beverly was charged with Murder.
 
The MCPO will make the final charging decision.
