LOCATION: Rimrock Avenue/Scenic Ridge, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Jesse Scalf, 38-years-old, Resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 12:07 AM, deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station contacted a male subject, later identified as Jesse Scalf, in the area of Rimrock Avenue and Scenic Ridge Drive in Chino Hills. Scalf was found to be in possession of a firearm magazine which contained numerous rounds of ammunition.
During a consent search of Scalf's vehicle, deputies located an unserialized firearm, also known as a ghost gun. Scalf, a convicted felon, was arrested and transported to West Valley Detention Center, where he was booked for felon in possession of an illegal firearm, possession of an unserialized firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition.
