Child Pornography Cyber Tip Leads to the Arrest of a Rancho Cucamonga Resident

LOCATION: 11600 Block of Church Street, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Alan Arteaga, 49-year-old, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY:
On April 21, 2022, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), began an investigation into cyber tips reported by an electronic service provider (ESP). The cyber tips contained various images of child pornography and were determined to have been downloaded at a residence in Rancho Cucamonga.
On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Station served a search warrant at a residence in the 11600 block of Church Street and contacted Alan Arteaga.
After further investigation, Arteaga was arrested for PC 311.11 - Possession of Child Pornography. Arteaga was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and his bail was set at $25,000.
