Sandbags Available Friday for Chula Vista residents. 
In preparation for tomorrow's weather forecast of potential heavy rain in some locations, Chula Vista residents can obtain up to ten free sandbags on Friday, September 9 at the Public Works facility located at 1800 Maxwell Road. Proof of residency is required. Sandbags will be available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. only at this location and only on Friday. Follow the signs to the sandbag distribution area.
Reminder to all drivers: if your windshield wipers are on, it is the law that your headlights also must be on. Be careful when driving through large puddles and potential flooded areas.
Potential heavy winds also are predicted. Drive careful and stay safe.
