Due to planned construction projects as well as unexpected power outages, many traffic control signals are being effected by the power outages.  The west end of the city is currently experiencing several controlled intersections that have traffic signals without power.  This is just a reminder that any time a traffic control lighted signal is inoperative, you need to treat it as a four way stop sign.  Vehicle Code section 21800(d)(1) mandates that you stop for all inoperative traffic signals. 
 
The Simi Valley Police Department reminds all drivers to drive safely, be attentive, and look for non-functioning traffic controls. These efforts will help to keep you and our community safe.
