Two Suspects Arrested for Reported Carjacking at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center

The Green Bay Police Department has taken two suspects into custody for a reported armed carjacking in the parking lot of HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Avenue, Green Bay.

Green Bay Police were dispatched at 11:39 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022, for an employee of the hospital who had reported that she was approached by a male and female, struck in the head with a handgun causing injury, and had her vehicle stolen, a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze.

Police were able to track the stolen vehicle through investigative sources. It was located unoccupied at a residence on the 400 block of Scott Drive. It is believed that the suspects may have swapped out the original license plates with plates that were stolen from another vehicle, which was parked near the residence of where the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze was found.

Green Bay Police were assisted by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation, and deputies had spotted two individuals walking on South Taylor Street just north of Western Avenue by the train tracks. After initial contact, a male and female were taken into custody in relation to this case. Upon searching for evidence, officers located a bag near the train tracks that had contained a metal facsimile firearm that is believed to be used in the carjacking.

The following five charges have been referred to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office:

• Take Vehicle w/o Consent While Threaten Force/Possess Weapon
• Take and Drive Vehicle w/o Consent
• Aggravated Battery-Intend Bodily Harm
