INCIDENT: PC 311.11(A) - Possession of Child Pornography Suspect Arrested
LOCATION: 11000 Block of Rosewood Ave, Morongo Valley
SUSPECT(S): Brian Tate Alderson, 24-years-old, Resident of Morongo Valley
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, September 8, 2022, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station executed a search warrant, related to an ongoing child pornography investigation, at a residence in Morongo Valley.
The investigation began when detectives were notified several files of suspected child pornography were uploaded to a social media account. During the following months, investigators served multiple search warrants to social media platforms and internet service providers. Investigators positively identified the suspect as Brian Tate Alderson and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
During the service of the search warrant at the home in Morongo Valley, Alderson was located and arrested. Additional evidence related to the crime was located and seized from the location. Alderson was booked at the Morongo jail and later transferred to the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held on $50,000 bail.
