* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Anson, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond and Stanly.

* WHEN...Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of deep moisture and a warm front moving into the area from the south and southeast will bring a threat of heavy rainfall to portions of the western Piedmont over the weekend. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
