Wind Advisory and an Excessive Heat Warning In Effect in SGV Until 8PM Tonight
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
Wind Advisory and an Excessive Heat Warning In Effect in SGV Until 8PM Tonight 
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and an Excessive Heat Warning, both in effect until 8PM this evening for the San Gabriel Valley.
According to the National Weather Service:
*WHAT… For the Excessive Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 100. For the Wind Advisory, east winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
