Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS & Other Emergency Officials to Train in Active Threat Incident
Over the next seven weeks, the Green Bay Police Department along with law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other emergency officials from Brown County will be participating in a large-scale joint training exercise to practice response for an active threat incident in our community.
The exercise will take part on various undisclosed weekdays, beginning the week of September 12, 2022, through the week of October 24, 2022, in the vicinity of Bay Beach Amusement Park from the hours of 7AM-4PM.
There will be some temporary closures on exercise days to civilian traffic in the immediate area:
- Intersection of N. Irwin Ave. at E. Shore Dr. to the west end of Bay Beach Amusement Park
- NOTE: The Children’s Museum of Green Bay will still be accessible for patrons
- ALL of Bay Beach Amusement Park including the small park/picnic areas on the property
- The bike/walking path along the Bay at Bay Beach Amusement Park
Boaters & Civilians Seeking to Access Area Businesses:
- Use N. Quincy St. to Access Bay Beach Rd.
This exercise will not impact visitor access to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
If the public finds themselves near the location of the exercise, they are asked to avoid interfering with the exercise or interrupting authorized personnel. Those in violation of this request will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
