* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Union and Essex counties in northeast New Jersey.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1049 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. A quick downpour of 1/2 to 1 inch of rain in only 20 minutes will likely cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Newark, Plainfield, Bloomfield, Linden, Orange, Summit, Millburn, Caldwell, Clark, Fairfield, Union, East Orange, Irvington, West Orange, Montclair, Belleville, Westfield, Livingston, Nutley and Rahway. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
