Flood Advisory until 04:00AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following counties, in northeast New Jersey, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan) and Queens.

* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1256 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1/2 and 1 inch of rain has fallen, with some locally higher amounts over an inch. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Newark, Jersey City, Paterson, Passaic, Mott Haven, Hoboken, Bloomfield, East Tremont, Hackensack, Orange, Lyndhurst, Millburn, Rutherford, Secaucus, Harrison, Ridgefield, Caldwell, Midtown Manhattan, RFK Bridge and Laguardia Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
