INCIDENT: Possession of Loaded Firearm and Controlled Substance, Possession of Concealed Unregistered Loaded Handgun, Possession of Controlled Substance
LOCATION: 1800 Block of Acoma Trail, Landers
SUSPECT(S): Roy Vanagas, 49-year-old Male, Resident of Landers
Darryl Solet, 47-year-old Male, Resident of Landers
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, September 9, 2022, at 6:28 p.m., deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station conducted a a vehicle check in the 1800 block of Acoma Trail in Landers.
During the investigation, deputies contacted the driver Roy Vanagas, and passenger Darryl Solet. Vanagas was found to be in possession of a concealed loaded handgun and suspected methampetamine. Solet was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was cite released.
Vanagas was arrested and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
