OPD Makes Homicide Arrest
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested Jose Guardadolara for the homicide of Vanessa Rodriguez-Cermeno, that occurred on September 7, 2022, in the 9700 block of D Street.
Due to the hard work and combined efforts of OPD’s Patrol Units and Investigators, the criminal case was presented to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office and charged.
BACKGROUND:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on September 7, 2022, in the 9700 block of D Street. Just before 6:00 PM, officers observed a stabbing victim (adult female, early 20’s) on the street. Officers rendered aid and requested emergency medical assistance. Medical arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The OPD Homicide Section responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation. The decedents name is being withheld pending notification to next-of-kin.
