Investigators Seeking Information from Public Regarding Additional Victims of Child Pornography

LOCATION: 12600 block of 2nd Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Brian David Alvey, 44-year-old resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): People of the State of California
SUMMARY: In December 2021, detectives from the Yucaipa Station initiated an investigation for suspected child pornography. The investigation was initiated from a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and forwarded to the Yucaipa Station by the Los Angeles Internet Crimes Against Children (LAICAC) Task Force. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Brian Alvey as the suspect.
On September 6th, 2022, deputies and detectives served an arrest warrant at Alvey's residence. Alvey was taken into custody without incident. He is currently being held at West Valley Detention Center, in lieu of bail set at $50,000.
NCMEC is a national clearinghouse that gathers information about missing and exploited children for law enforcement. NCMEC forwards all information, unedited, to law enforcement for investigation and disposition pursuant to congressional mandate to operate as a clearinghouse.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is an affiliate of the LAICAC task force. As such, LAICAC forwards cyber tips to San Bernardino County when it is believed the suspect committed the crime in San Bernardino County.
Through investigation, it was determined Alvey possessed and distributed child pornography on multiple occasions. Alvey sent illicit videos via social media to members of the public, unsolicited. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is seeking information from the public to identify additional victims. A booking photograph is being included to assist the public.
