Your Help Is Needed! Buy Tickets to Help Build Our Community! The City of McHenry and the R.I.S.E. Up Foundation of McHenry needs your help in raising funds to finish the development of the Miller Point Park on the Riverwalk. The R.I.S.E. Up Foundation is hosting a 2-day Country Music Festival (Splash into Country) at Petersen Park, located on McCullom Lake in McHenry. The event will take place on Friday September 16, 2022 and Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Saturday night’s event will host:
• Brad Paisley
• Chris Lane
• Ernest.

All proceeds from this year’s concert event will go directly to the City to expand the City’s Miller Point Park / Riverwalk Project. For over 20 years the City has been working to build a unique experience in McHenry by installing a one of a kind Riverwalk for all to enjoy. Established in 2020 Miller Point Park is a premiere community gathering space on the Riverwalk that now hosts weekend community events throughout the summer and larger events such as “Shamrocks the Fox” in March and “Light the Night” in September.

This year, Rise Up is working to raise $400,000 so that additional improvements can be made to the Miller Point Park that might not otherwise get completed. Initial plans by the City includes the addition of public restrooms, concert pavilion with a new green space area, and tiny shops (12’ x 12’ and 12’ x 16’ in size) that local entrepreneurs and startup businesses can use seasonally to launch their new businesses. After the main season, the tiny shops can be transformed into a Kris 2 | P a g e Kringle Style Market for the holidays and event popups for the City’s popular St. Patrick’s Day Festival, Shamrocks the Fox Celebration and more.
