Public Announcement - Fireworks test tonight comprised of two scenes in duration of two minutes each

On Thursday, September 15, 2022, between 9 and 9:30pm, Pyro Spectaculars will conduct a brief fireworks test, consisting of two scenes lasting approximately two minutes each.

The scenes may be separated by several minutes during the prescribed time frame. No fireworks will be fired after 9:30pm.

The tests will be conducted from a barge on the lake approximately 750 feet offshore from Library Park in Lakeport.

The fireworks being tested are of the same type used in holiday displays such as Independence Day and New Years Eve.

The noise produced by these tests will be brief, but equal in level to the noise experienced during the aforementioned holiday fireworks displays.

Pets and/or livestock may be startled by this noise, but will be no longer than two minutes for two intervals.

Please note, this is not a fireworks show. The public is discouraged from coming to the site in hopes of seeing a display similar to the City of Lakeport's 4th of July celebration. Once again, this is only a test consisting of two test scenes in duration of approximately two minutes  each of aerial fireworks and is not a fireworks show.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding.
