1. Robbery (0855) 9100 Block of Thornton Road, Bear Creek District
The male victim, 34, was working in an area business when the suspect entered. The suspect attempted to steal merchandise and the victim armed himself with a weapon and tried to prevent the suspect from stealing the merchandise. The suspect left the merchandise, took the victim’s weapon, and struck him with it. SUSPECT: White male adult.
2. Resisting Arrest (0906) 600 Block of North Airport Way, Park District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a disturbance and discovered the suspect had warrants for her arrest. The suspect fled on foot and was taken to the ground. The suspect continued to resist and control holds were utilized to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Carmelita Appling, 55, for resisting arrest and warrants.
3. Pursuit Arrest (0909) Lincoln Road and Alexandria Place, Lakeview District
Officers responded to the listed location on a report of an attempted catalytic converter theft. While officers were on scene they observed the suspects stealing the catalytic converters from another vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect vehicle failed to yield leading officers on a pursuit. The suspect vehicle became disabled and the suspects were taken into custody. ARRESTED: Jasmine Fuentes, 25, Jose Garcia, 25, Anthony Rodriquez, 29, and Tyler Beiesmans, 27, all for theft, conspiracy, and traffic charges.
