09/05/2022 @ 0130-0140. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse after the purse was left unattended on a tabletop. #05610

09/05/2022 @ 0115. A man pried the front door open to gain access to the lobby/mailroom and then pried resident mailboxes opened and removed mail. #05609

09/05/2022 @ 1407. A man gained access to the secure sub parking garage of the hotel and removed an unsecured electric scooter. #05615
Armed Robbery
Hayworth Avenue / Norton Avenue
09/05/2022 @ 2255. A man and two women were walking NB on the sidewalk of Hayworth Avenue when a vehicle came to a stop near their location. Six suspects exited the vehicle while armed with handguns and demanded the victim’s property and they complied. #05624

8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
09/07/2022 @ 1300. A man removed food and beverage items from a display area and attempted to leave the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect pulled a knife from his pocket and threatened to kill the victim. The suspect was allowed to leave and was located and arrested by responding deputies. #80034

8800 block Sunset Blvd
09/08/2022 @ 0715. The victim saw a man pushing scooters into the street and told him to stop. The suspect became upset and charged at the victim while holding a knife. The victim punched the suspect and a short struggle ensued before the suspect got onto his bicycle and rode away. #05667

09/08/2022 @ 2245. A woman gained access to the lobby of the secure apartment building and removed an unsecured package from the mailroom. #05695

7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
09/08/2022 @ 1608. A man removed a duffle bag and one bottle of juice from a display area and attempted to leave the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect pulled an axe from his bag and raised it in the air. The suspect was allowed to leave. #05679

09/09/2022 @ 0305. A woman used a postal key to open the front lobby doors and gain access to the mailroom. The suspect used the postal key to open resident mailboxes and removed mail. #05694
