On Saturday, September 17^th, 2022, at approximately 00:51 am, officers from the Petaluma Police Department were dispatched to the area of Caulfield Lane at Park Lane for a single vehicle collision. Officers arrived on scene and noticed a Chevrolet pickup truck had collided with a fence. The pickup truck was determined to be unoccupied. Officers spoke to a handful of witnesses who stated the driver of the vehicle fled (on foot) from the scene. Officers were provided a direction of travel and description of the suspect.
 
After a search of the area, officers located a female subject hiding a short distance from the collision. The female subject matched the description provided by the witnesses; she was determined to be 15 years old. Additionally, the female subject displayed objective signs of alcohol impairment.
 
After locating the female subject, officers contacted the registered owner of the Chevrolet pickup truck. The pickup truck was determined to be an unreported stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen from the 1500 block of Sunrise Parkway.
 
Ultimately, the female subject was placed under arrest for following charges: vehicle theft, burglary, hit and run, and driving under the influence (DUI). After being medically cleared at a local hospital, the female subject was booked at the Sonoma County Juvenile Hall.
 
The Petaluma Police Department would like to thank the resident(s) who spoke with officers and provided detailed descriptions of the outstanding subject. The information provided by the citizens assisted officers in locating and taking the subject into custody.
