INCIDENT: PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder
HS 11370.1(a) – Possession of a controlled substance while armed
LOCATION: 6300 Block of Ocotillo Avenue, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Robert L. Prudholme, 33-year-old-male, resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): Robert Craft, 37-year-old-male, resident of Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 9:44 p.m., deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station responded to the 6300 block of Ocotillo Avenue in the city of Twentynine Palms, regarding reports of a male who was stabbed. Prior to deputies arriving at the scene, the victim was transported to High Desert Medical Center by a bystander, and the suspect fled in a vehicle. The victim was later airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified Robert Prudholme as the suspect and sought a warrant for his arrest. On Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., members of the Specialized Enforcement Division took Prudholme into custody at a residence in the 73000 block of Sunnyslope Drive, Twentynine Palms. During the service of a search warrant at the residence, detectives discovered a loaded firearm and evidence of sales of methamphetamine.
Prudholme was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder and H&S 11370.1(a) Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed. Bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
