INCIDENT: PC 459 Commercial Burglary, PC 487 Grand Theft, PC 182 Conspiracy, PC 496 Possession of Stolen Property
LOCATION: 34309 Yucaipa Blvd., #B, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Samantha Rasha, 32-year-old Resident of Pasadena
Ruben Carabajal, 40-year-old Resident of Pomona
Enrique Rugelio, 34-year-old Resident of Los Angeles
VICTIM(S): Starkey Jewelry
SUMMARY: On Friday, September 16, 2022, at approximately 3:44 a.m., deputies were dispatched to an audible alarm at Starkey Jewelry. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes and confirmed a burglary had occurred. Based on video surveillance from the business, it was determined there were three suspects, two adult males and an adult female. The suspects fled the location with numerous pieces of stolen jewelry.
At approximately 4:16 a.m., Deputy M. Castaneda initiated a vehicle check near the intersection of Avenue D and 15th St. in Yucaipa. He contacted the occupants of the vehicle, who were identified as Samantha Rasha, Ruben Carbajal and Enrique Rugelio. Based on deputies’ investigation, they determined the subjects in the vehicle were involved in the Starkey Jewelry burglary. The Yucaipa Police Station's Detective Bureau responded and assisted in the investigation. Deputies recovered the stolen property from the vehicle and were able to return it to the business.
Samantha Rasha, Ruben Carabajal and Enrique Rugelio were all arrested and booked into Central Detention Center. The bail for all three suspects is set at $25,000.
