On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at approximately 0230 hours, Readington Police stopped a vehicle on Rt. 22 near County Line Rd. for an expired registration. The vehicle was occupied by Michael Mooney of Bridgewater, NJ. During the motor vehicle stop, patrol discovered that Mooney had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Bound Brook Police Department for Shoplifting. Mooney was arrested and turned over to Bound Brook Police Department. The filing of charges is a merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
