Local Business Donates Ballistic Vests For Officers
During a time when the South Brunswick Police Department is seeing increased costs in equipment and training for officers, a local business, Petro Pallet, located in Monmouth Junction, contacted our police department with an offer to help.
Tony Lanza from Petro Pallet contacted Chief Raymond J. Hayducka earlier this week to offer his support of the police department, as well as a check for $5000 to cover the cost of five new ballistic vests.
“As an agency, we needed to cover the costs of 24 new ballistic vests this year, along with the costs associated with many other pieces of equipment needed to keep our officers safe and effective. Increased costs of new equipment as well as the training necessary to keep our officers functioning at a high level can become burdensome. The donation of five vests by Petro Pallet helps enormously. We appreciate their support,” said Chief Hayducka.
