The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... West central Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico... Northwestern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...

* Until 615 PM MDT.

* At 543 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Counselor, or 29 miles west of Cuba, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Counselor. This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 83 and 104.

* AFFECTED AREAS: RIO ARRIBA, NM ... SANDOVAL, NM
