Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports his office investigated a two-vehicle injury on Union Rd, South of US Hwy 12, Porter Township, Cass County, Michigan. This crash occurred on 09/23/2022 at approximately 2:37pm. 

Initial investigation showed a van driven by Crystal Price, 45 year old, Kendallville, IN resident was traveling west on US Hwy, when she had a medical emergency causing her vehicle to run off the roadway and jump a curd. The vehicle continued on Union Rd, and collided into a box truck driven by Kwabena Marfo, 56 year old, Kalamazoo, Michigan resident.  

 Price and her two passengers Annamae Davis, 25 year old, South Bend, Indiana resident, and Denise McCall, 46 year old, South bend Indiana resident, were initially trapped inside of the vehicle and were extricated by emergency personnel. Price was air lifted by Air Care to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Davis was transported by SEPSA Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. McCall was transported by SEPSA Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash.
