Due to a recent court ruling, we are no longer able to accept absentee ballots through the drop box in the Village Hall parking lot. The drop box will be locked until after the November 8 Election. Unfortunately, this means that utility payments, permit applications, etc. cannot be put in the drop box either for the next few weeks.

Absentee ballots must be returned by mailed or hand-delivered to the Village during our regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.). Another change that resulted from the court ruling is that the voter must return their own ballot. You are not allowed to have a spouse or other person return your ballot to the Village Hall on your behalf.

Return Absentee Ballot Options:
• Mail your ballot in the provided certificate envelope (postage paid).
• Hand your ballot to staff at Village Hall during regular business hours (M-Th, 8-4 or F, 8-12). If you have mobility challenges you may also call Village Hall at 608-267-2680 and we will come out to your car to collect your ballot.
• In-person absentee voting is available during regular business hours the two weeks before an election starting Tuesday, October 25.
