Newark Public Safety Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured suspect and vehicle in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
 
Just after 2:40 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of Clifton Avenue on a call of a robbery. A victim walking in the area was approached by a white 2022 Honda Civic, with NJ Registration No. Z50PHU. The front seat passenger, a Black male, exited the vehicle and demanded the victim’s cell phone at gunpoint. The suspect also took the victim’s backpack containing cash and personal property before entering the vehicle, which fled southbound on Clifton Avenue.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or the whereabouts of this vehicle to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
