Pedestrian Fatality Saturday night.
The Marietta Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is currently investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Saturday evening, September 24, 2022, at approximately 9:15PM in front of 1440 Roswell Road. The initial on-scene investigation revealed that a thirty-eight-year-old Hispanic male was exiting the parking lot of 1495 Roswell Road and began crossing Roswell Road outside of a crosswalk. The pedestrian was struck by four different passing vehicles before traffic was able to stop. He did not survive the impact from the vehicles and was pronounced deceased at the scene. All drivers involved in the accident remained and are cooperating with the investigation. The pedestrian’s name is being withheld until his next-of-kin can be located and notified.
