JOIN OUR 2022-2023 HURON TOWNHSIP CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY:

The Citizen Police Academy class is a 12-week program that focuses on the education of its members as it relates to the Police and Fire Departments. Residents receive education in the following areas:
The History and current state of the Huron Township Police Department, Computer Forensics, Human Trafficking,
K-9 Unit and demonstrations, Major Crimes and Homicide Investigation and Crime Scene Processing, Use of Force and Deadly Force simulation, Specialty Units and Drug Enforcement,
Fire Department Operations and Fire Equipment Demonstration. Each member also has the opportunity to join a Huron Township Police Officer for a ride along.

This class will be held on Thursdays beginning October 27th and ending February 2nd, 2023 from 6:30p.m. - 9:00p.m. Breaks will be taken during the holiday weeks.

Interested applicants must be a current resident of Huron Township and be able to pass a routine background inquiry. Residents interested in being a part of this class are asked to email Director Everette Robbins at [email protected] to receive an application packet. The class size is limited and has filled quickly during past sessions, so feel free to contact us as soon as possible. We look forward to another great graduating class!
