INCIDENT: Fatal Boating Collision
LOCATION: Parker Strip, near Big Bend RV Resort
VICTIM(S): David Stuart Clark Jr, 48 Years of Age, Resident of Bonsall, Ca
SUMMARY: On September 26, 2022, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Colorado River Station Marine Enforcement Deputies responded to a report of a boating collision on the Parker Strip, in the area of Big Bend RV Resort. Through investigation, and witness statements, it was discovered Clark left a bar on the Parker Strip on his personal watercraft at approximately 9:00 p.m. the previous night. Clark did not return home and Clark's family attempted to locate him on the water but were unsuccessful. Clark was located by a passing boater the next morning on a rock formation, near Big Bend RV Resort. Deputies and Buckskin Fire department paramedics arrived and recovered the victim and vessel from the rock formation. Buckskin Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at approximately 7:30 a.m. The victim was turned over to the care of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Coroner Division.
