Full Notification

On 09/27/22 at approximately 3:00 am, Officers responded to a report of a catalytic converter theft that just occurred in the 300 block of Aristotle and shortly after, an additional catalytic converter theft in the 1200 block of Pride St.  A black Infiniti was seen leaving the area.  Officers noticed a black Infiniti driving E/B on the 118 freeway with its lights off.  Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, however the vehicle increased its speed and a pursuit ensued.  After a short period, due to high speeds, losing sight of the vehicle and the risk to the community, the pursuit was terminated.

El 27/09/22 aproximadamente a las 3:00 a. m., los oficiales respondieron a un informe de robo de un convertidor catalítico que acaba de ocurrir en la cuadra 300 de Aristóteles y poco después, otro robo de convertidor catalítico en la cuadra 1200 de Pride St. Se vio un Infiniti negro saliendo del área. Los oficiales notaron un Infiniti negro conduciendo un E/B en la autopista 118 con las luces apagadas. Los oficiales intentaron detener el tráfico en el vehículo, sin embargo, el vehículo aumentó su velocidad y se produjo una persecución. Luego de un breve lapso, debido a la alta velocidad, la pérdida de vista del vehículo y el riesgo para la comunidad, se dio por terminada la persecución.
