On 9-26-2022 at 5:11 p.m. Sunnyvale DPS Patrol and Fire personnel responded to the area of Wolfe Rd and Inverness Way on the report of a collision involving a bicyclist and a single motor vehicle. The male bicyclist was located at the scene with major injuries. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The collision remains under investigation by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact MAIT Investigator David Larks at (408)730-7109.
