DETAILS: On Monday, September 26, 2022, the Amarillo Police Department Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the DEA Amarillo office, conducted an investigation which led to the seizure of approximately 100,000 fentanyl pills. These pills were disguised as M30 prescription pills (oxycodone hydrochloride) and weighed 24.4 pounds altogether. The pills have a street value of $1.5 million. The investigation is ongoing.
