WM is suspending collection operations in Broward County on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
With Broward County under a Tropical Storm Warning, there exists the increased potential of tropical storm conditions to impact the area tomorrow. Based on the best available information from the National Hurricane Center and with an abundance of caution for the safety of our employees, WM (Waste Management) is suspending collection operations in Broward County on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
WM plans to complete all scheduled Tuesday collections. Conditions permitting, WM will resume collection operations on Thursday. Resuming “post storm” operations will depend on storm damage and safety assessments.
If your scheduled MSW (garbage) collection day is tomorrow, WM will make the normal collection on the next regularly scheduled collection day. If tomorrow is your scheduled recycling day, WM will collect on the next regularly scheduled collection day as well.
At this time, residents should refrain from placing additional bulky items at curbside.
